Each year Shaw participates in career fairs, recruiting events, and scholarship and award competitions at many colleges and universities across the U.S.
Diversity Leadership Program through Monster.com
Monster’s Diversity Leadership Programs brings together top business leaders like Shaw management and a select group of culturally diverse college students for a weekend of networking, education, and career-building.
Scholarship Programs
Shaw offers a scholarship program that seeks to support minority and female students of engineering.
Shaw Achievement Scholarship The Shaw Achievement Scholarship is awarded to students at Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Tennessee, and Southern Polytechnic State University.
Outstanding Black Engineering Students
In addition, scholarships are offered to finalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program who are pursuing engineering degrees at accredited colleges in specified states. These awards, administered through National Merit Scholarship Corporation, are designated for outstanding Black American high school students.
Outstanding Hispanic Engineering Students
Scholarships will also be awarded through HENAAC – Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation – for students pursuing engineering degrees at accredited colleges in specified states. These awards, administered through HENAAC, are for outstanding Hispanic juniors and seniors in college.
