Championing Diversity: Salaried
Salaried employees learn what diversity means and why it is important to Shaw, the effects of stereotyping and valuing differences, the importance of belief systems, and the role of salaried employees in championing diversity at Shaw.
Championing Diversity: Hourly
Diversity awareness for hourly employees will address the meaning of diversity, its importance to Shaw and how we can all value our differences. Training scheduled for 2007 and 2008.
Shaw Learning Academy
Shaw Learning Academy is a single, comprehensive resource for developing and educating employees, customers, and suppliers. Each of its eight Centers of Excellence provides learning opportunities to meet a distinct set of personal and professional goals. Shaw Learning Academy offers a variety of courses across the country and even at your computer, from multi-day training to flexible online courses.

Shaw Skills Center
The Shaw Skills Center offers employees and their spouses opportunities for lifelong learning with courses such as GED preparation, typing, computer training, and using computer software like Word and Excel. Skill Centers are located in Dalton at WH, Chatsworth at WE, Ringgold at Plant 47, Decatur, TN at Plant 10 and Calhoun at Plant D4.
